Well, I'm about halfway through my trip. Some aspects have been quite pleasant, such as seeing an old friend of mine for the first time in several years. However, overall, this trip has been extremely difficult. I won't dwell on the details here, but suffice it to say that it has taken a lot more strength and perseverence than I anticipated.
This is the first time I've been in front of a computer since Thursday, which is highly unusual for me. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was offlline this long. Strange stuff. But it hasn't really benn possible to use the computer here where I'm staying, and the only internet cafe I looked at has charging $9/hour...
I may be able to find access Friday night and over the weekend. We shall have to see. I can't check people's blogs right at the moment, but I will when I have a scrap of leisure.

well that just goes to show.
Time away, occasionally, from being online is good for the spirit, I've found recently... it gives you a chance to see things that you realize being online takes you away from sometimes...you know, the things that matter...
$9/hour ....that's pathetic!
